No tracking unless you allow it
The Percival website is deliberately simple, and its privacy statement can be too.
What we collect: next to nothing
By default this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party content and loads every resource — pages, styles, fonts and images — from its own server. No advertising or tracking scripts run, and nothing about your visit is shared with anyone.
The one exception is yours to grant. The site asks whether it may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read; the analytics code is not loaded until you agree. If you agree, Google LLC processes the usage data and sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* (kept for up to two years), and Percival sees aggregate statistics only. If you decline — or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal — no analytics code loads at all. Your choice is stored in your own browser, and withdrawing it deletes the analytics cookies.
No choice is stored; the site asks on each visit.
Like almost every web server, the server that hosts this site may keep standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and capacity purposes. These logs are not used to identify visitors and are deleted in the normal course of operations.
If you email us at percival@percival.co.uk, we will hold your message and address for as long as the correspondence requires, and use them for no other purpose.
Questions about this statement or about data Percival may hold in connection with a business relationship can be sent to the same address, or by post to Percival Software Ltd, 112 Morden Road, London SW19 3BP, United Kingdom.
